The length of nucleotides will be 441.

Given - Number of amino acids

Find - Length of mRNA

Solution - We are aware by the fact, that 1 amino acid is coded by three nucleotides. Also, we know, that stop codon is not translated into protein. Hence, mRNA will contain 3 nucleotides for each amino acid and 3 nucleotides that will act as stop codon.

Therefore, total number of nucleotides will be = 146×3 + 3

Performing multiplication to find the number of nucleotides

Total number of nucleotides = 438 + 3

Performing addition to find the number of nucleotides

Total number of nucleotides = 441

Hence, mRNA will have 441 nucleotides.
