the capacitor was connected to 10 v for charging to 30mC.

After disconnected let's say ‘Q’ total charge 30mC in capacitor (C1) is stored. After we connected it to another uncharged capacitor let's say (C2) the charge in C1 start decreased and it will decrease till equilibrium is reached.

So total charge will be then given by

Q=Q1+Q2 where Q1 is charge at C1 and Q2 for C2 ,as C1 is double of C2 the charge will also be double at C1 Q=2Q2+Q2

So after solving this we find charge at C1 will be 20mC and C2 will be 10mc
