The circumferance of the trunk of a tree cylindrical in shape is 132 cm . find the volume of timber that can be obtained from a trunk ,if the length of the trunk is 1.5 m .

circumference = 2πR = 132 ⇒ R = 21 cm

now timber to be cylindrical

volume = base area x height =  πR² x h = 22/7 x 21 x 21 x 1.5 x 100
= 207900 cm³
