Let the circumference of the circle be x + 16.8 cm and diameter be x; then,

Reqd. equation: 2 × 22/7 × x/2 = x+16.8

or, 22x/7 = x+16.8

or, 22x = 7x + 117.6

or, 15x = 117.6

or, x = 11.84 cm

Then, circumference = 11.84 + 16.8 = 28.64 cm
