Circumference = 2 *  \pi *radius
3.14 = 3.14 * 2 radius
radius = 1/2 m = 0.5 metre.

Area =  \pi  r^{2}
Area = 3.14 * [ 0.5 ] ^ 2
= 3.14 * 0.25
= 0.785 m^2

circumference of a circle=2πr
                                3.14=2*3.14*r
                                    r  =1/2 m
area of circle=πr^2
                    =3.14*1/2*1/2
                    =0.785m^2
