The circumference of a circle is 40 cm more than its diameter. Calculate the radius of the circle.

Let the radius of the circle be R cm
then, ciecumference=2piR
therefore,2piR=2R+40
2piR-2R=40
2R(pi-1)=40
R(pi-1)=20
R(22/7-1)=20
R(22-7/7)=20
R(15/7)=20
R=20*7/15
R=28/3cm(answer)
