Given data :

Circumference of the base = 11 m

Height of the tank = 3 m

Let,the radius of the base = r m

So,

2πr = 11

2×22/7× r = 11

44/7×r = 11

r = 11×7/44

r = 7/4

Curved surface area = 2×π×7/4×3 = 2×22/7×7/4×3 = 33 m² (answer)

Base area = π×7/4×7/4 = 22/7×7/4 × 7/4 = 1078/ 112 = 9.625 m²

So, the total surface area = {33+(2×9.625)} = (33+19.25) = 52.25 m² (answer)
