Circumference of Base of Cylinder
Circumference of Circle = 176cm

Let's assume the radius as x cm

According to Question,

Circumference of Circle = 176 cm

2Πr = 176 cm

2 × 22 / 7 × x = 176

⇒ 44 / 7 × x = 176

⇒ x = 176 × 7 / 44

⇒ x = 4 × 7

⇒ x = 28

As, the radius is x cm

Hence, the radius is 28 cm


∴ Lateral Surface Area of Cylinder

= 2Πrh

= [ 2 × 22 / 7 × 28 × 65 ] cm²

= [ 2 × 22 × 4 × 65 ] cm²

= 11,440 cm²

Hence, the lateral surface area of cylinder is 11,440 cm²
