The circumference of the base of a cylindrical vessel is 132 cm and its height is 25 cm. How many litres of water can it hold? (1000 cm³ = I l)

now the formula for  circumference of base of cylindrical vessel =2 \pi r

2 \pi r = 132

r=\frac{132}{2\pi}      ( take \pi = \frac{22}{7} )

⇒ r = 84 cm

volume of water ,a cylindrical vessel can hold = \pi r^{2}h

                                                       = \frac{22}{7}\times \left ( 84 \right )^{2}\times 25

                                                       = 554,400 cm^{3}

                                                       = 554.4 l          ∵(1000cm^{3} = 1l)
