Answer :

›»› 34.65 liters of water can it hold.

Given :

  • The circumference of the base of a cylindrical vessel is 132 cm and its height is 25 cm.

To Find :

  • How many litres of water can it hold?

Solution :

→ Circumference of cylinder = 132

→ 2πr = 132

→ 2 * 22/7 * r = 132

→ 44/7 * r = 132

→ 44/7r = 132

→ 44r = 132 * 7

→ 44r = 924

→ r = 924/44

r = 21 cm

Now,

→ Volume of vessel = πr²h

→ Volume of vessel = 22/7 * (21)² * 25

→ Volume of vessel = 22/7 * 441 * 25

→ Volume of vessel = 22 * 63 * 25

→ Volume of vessel = 1386 * 25

→ Volume of vessel = 34650 cm³

Now, converting cm³ to liter.

→ litres of water can it hold = 34650/1000

→ litres of water can it hold = 34.65 liter

Hence, 34.65 liters of water can it hold.

\huge \purple A \purple N \purple s \purple W \purple e \purple \R :-

Let the radius of cylinder vessel be r .

Height of vessel = 25 cm

Circumference of vessel = 132 cm

=> 2πr = 132 cm

=> r = 132 × 7 / 2 × 22 = 21 cm

Volume of vessel = πr^2h

=> [ 22/7 × (21)^2 × 25 ] cm^3

=> 34,650 cm^3

=> ( 34,650/1000) litres

=> 34.65 litres .

Therefore , such vessel can hold 34.65 litres of water.
