Given that the cirumference of a circle exceeds the diameter by 30 . find the radius of the circle.

i.e. Circumference = 2r+30

Let radius= r cm.  Then diameter =2r cm.

Circumference of a circle = 2πr

Given that 2πr =2r+30

Cancel 2 and simplify:

r(π-1) = 15

r = \frac{15}{\pi -1}

Answer is when The cirumference of a circle exceeds the diameter by 30

radius = r = \frac{15}{\pi -1}
