The class marks of a frequency distribution are 47,52,57,62,67,72,77,82,87,92,97 and 102. Find the class size and class limits.

Answer:

Class size = Different between class marks of two consecutive classes =52 - 47 = 5

Lower -class limit = -1/2 of class size 47 +2.5=4.9

Upper - class limit = +1/2 of class size 52 +2.5 =4.5

Since the class- limit form a continuous frequency distribution ; the true class - limit and the class- limit are same
