Sol: Lower class mark = 37 Upper class mark = 57 Range = 57 - 37 = 20Let the number of classes be 4.Therefore, size of the class = 20/4 = 5. Class limits are 36 - 40, 41 - 45, 46 - 50, 51 - 55, 56 - 60.

Class size = difference between two consecutive class marks

therefore class size=5

lower limit =class mark -class size/2

=44.5

upper limit =class mark +class size /2

=49.5

therefore the class limits are

44.5-49.5

49.5-54.5

54.5-59.5

59.5-64.5

64.5-69.5

69.5-74.5.

hope it helps.....
