The Climate contrast is really striking!!
Note:
1. Mawsynram and Cherrapunji gets more than 1000cm rainfall.
2. The western part of the Western Ghats and windward side of the Garo-Khasi-Jaintia hills get more than 200cm rainfall.
3. Deccan plateau gets 90cm rainfall.
4. Again, the leeward side of Aravalli hills (Thar) gets less than 25cm rainfall.
Also note:
1. Temperature of Rajasthan reaches 40°C
2. Temperature of Ladakh reaches -40°C
