let the cost of each bat be x rs.
let the cost of each ball be y rs.
given,
3 bats and 6 balls cost 3900 rs.
3x+6y=3900
one bat and 3 balls cost 1300 rs.
x+3y=1300
the situation algebraically is represented by the two equations

given that coach of a cricket team buys 3bats and 6balls for 3900rs.
and again buys another bat and 3balls for Rs1300/-

to represent this algebraically

let us assume bats be represented by 'x'
and balls be represented by 'y'

representing the given information algebriacally............

in the first case
coach bought 3bats and 6balls for Rs 3900

so the equation would be
3x+6y=3900

and in the second case
the coach bought a bat and 3balls for Rs1300

so the equation would be
x+3y=1300.

hope this helps.
