Let the cost of each bat = Rs x

the cost of each ball = Rs y

According to the problem given ,

3x + 6y - 3900 = 0 ---( 1 )

x + 2y - 1300 = 0 ----( 2 )

-compare above equations with

a1x + b1y + c1 = 0 and a2x + b2y + c2 = 0

a1 = 3 , b1 = 6 , c1 = 3900 ;

a2 = 1 , b2 = 2 , c2 = -1300 ;

a1/a2= 3/1 ;

b1/b2 = 6/2 = 3 ;

c1/c2 = ( -3900 )/( -1300 ) = 3 ;

Therefore ,

a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2

Above system of equations are

coincidentally lines and have infinitely

many solutions.
