Hi ,
Let the number of Rs50 notes = x ,
Let the number of Rs100 notes = y ,
x + y = 25
x = 25 - y ----( 1 )
50x + 100y = 2000 ---( 2 )
Here , we are using substitution
method .
50( 25 - y ) + 100y = 2000
1250 - 50y + 100y = 2000
50y = 2000 - 1250
50y = 750
y = 750/50
y = 15
Put y = 15 in equation ( 1 ) , we get
x = 25 - 15
x = 10
Therefore ,
Tabita received ten Rs 50 notes and
fifteen Rs 100 notes
I hope this helps you.

Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
Let the number of Rs50 notes = x ,
Let the number of Rs100 notes = y ,
x + y = 25
x = 25 - y ----( 1 )
50x + 100y = 2000 ---( 2 ). By substitutionmethod 50( 25 - y ) + 100y = 2000
1250 - 50y + 100y = 2000
50y = 2000 - 1250
50y = 750
y = 750/50
y = 15
Put y = 15 in equation ( 1 ) , we get
x = 25 - 15
x = 10
Therefore ,Tabita received ten Rs 50 notes and fifteen Rs.100 notes
