Hi ,

Let the amount invest on 10% = x

and

the amount invest on 15% = y

Total amount we have to invest is Rs1200

x + y = 12000 ------( 1 )

Given ,

To invest some amount 10% and the rest

at 15% ,

we should be invest to each rate to

yield 12% on the total amount invested

10x/100 + ( 15y/100 ) = ( 12/100 ) × 12000

=> 10x + 15y = 12 × 12000

=> 2x + 3yb= 28800 ---( 2 )

Solving ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) , we get

x = 7200 and y = 4800

Therefore ,

The amount to be invest at 10% = Rs7200

The amount to be invest at 12% = Rs4800

I hope this helps you.
