Answer:

Let 'x'=price of one cricket bat

      'y'=price of one ball

Given that:-

7*x+6*y=3800 Rs. _ (1)

3*x+5*y=1750 Rs. _ (2)

For the time being let's simply remove the unit of money i.e., Rs.

Multiply (1) by 3 and (2) by 7 in order to make the coefficient of 'x' in both equations the same...

(1) = 21x+18y=11400

(2)= 21x+35y=12250

(2)-(1) ⇒17y=850

                  ∴y=850/17=50

Equating the value of y in any of the equations we get:

I am presently equating it in (1)

⇒ 7x+6*50=3800

∴x=3800-300=3500/7=500

Therefore the price of one bat is Rs.500 and the price of one ball is Rs.50...
