the price of ball = y

so, according to question

7x+6y= 3800 ---(1)

3x+5y= 1750 ---(2)

on solving both equations

equations (1)×3 subtracted by equation (2)×7

=> 21x+18y-(21x+35y)=11400-12250

=>18y-35y= -850

=> -17y= -850

=> y= 50 (cost of ball)

so, x=500 (cost of bat)
