The complement and supplement of an angle are in the ratio 2:3. Find the angle.

See... 

Let one angle be x 

and its complement will be (90-x) 

And its supplement angle will be (180-x) 

According to the given condition in question 

Complement / supplement = 2/3 

i.e. 90-x / 180 - x = 2/3 
     
     3 (90 - x)  = 2 (180 - x) 

    270 - 3x     = 360 - 2x 

   360 - 270 = 2x - 3x 

   90            = - x 

   x              = - 90 °
