actually, compressibility factor , Z = PV_m/RT > 1

⇒1atm × V_m/1mol × 0.0821 atm.Litre/mol.K × 273.15 K > 1

⇒V_m/0.0821 × 273.15 L > 1

⇒V_m/22.4 > 1

⇒V_m > 22.4 L

hence molar volume of gas is greater than 22.4 L
