Given:-

Two consecutive numbers which are multiples of 5 and whose sum = 105

To find:-

The numbers.

Solution :-

Let the first number be x, then the other two numbers are x+5

Their sum is 105.

Adding,

x + x + 5 = 105

2x + 5 = 105

2x = 105 - 5

2x = 100

x = 100/2

x = 50

The first number = x = 50

Second number = x+5 = 55

So the consecutive multiples of 5 whose sum is 105 are 50 and 55.

50 + 55 = 105

Hence verified.
