Earth for many years has been renowned as the only planet to hold any form of life, but to get to the ultimate truth scientists needed the help of a lot of research and studies were conducted which finally concluded that the actual age of Earth is 4.5 billion years.

After discovering this, they studied further and divided the earth into different zone layers namely, Lithosphere, Asthenosphere, Mesosphere, Outer Core and the Inner core.

With mesosphere consisting most of the mantle, it was divided into upper and lower mantle.
