The bishop although knowing that the convict have stolen the silver wares and silver candles, he says with a good heart that he have gifted the wares and candles to the convict. The convict who had forgotten what is the name of good, was shocked by the behaviour of the bishop. And hence says that he was human, and not the convict. He promises bishop that he will live his life as human from then. Thus the convict was transformed into a human by bishops words.
