On substituting the give points as x and y ,

-2a +3b= 21 equation 1

-2a + 3b= 11 equation 2

On multiplication of 3 in equation 1 and 2 in equation 2,

-4a +9b=42

-4a +6b =22

On simultaneous solving the two equation,

3b = 20

b= 20/3

-2a +3×20/3 =21

-2a +20=21

-2a=21-20

-2a =1

-a=1/2

a=-1/2

Therefore, b = 20/3 , a = -1/2
