let the coordinates be p(-1,4),q(2,-3).

Also the ratio be 2:3

here x1=_1 ,y1=4

x2=2 ,y2=-3

m1=2 ,m2=3

By section formula.

coordinates of point of division. =m1x2+m2y1÷m1+m2 ,m1y2+m2y1÷m1+m2

=2×2+3×4÷2+3 ,2×-3+3×4÷2+3

=4+12÷5 ,-6+12÷5

=16÷5 ,6÷5

=16/5 ,6/5
