∴ 500 gm = ( 1/1000) x 500 kg = (500/2x500) kg = 1/2 kg = 2 x 1/4 kg

∴ cost of 500 gm of onion = 2 x cost of 1/4 kg of onion = 2 x 10 Rs = Rs 20.00
