Answer:

The cost of 20 pens is 80 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given information,

the cost of 12 pens is 48

We have to find out the cost of 20 pens

As,

The cost of 12 pens = 48

The cost of 1 pen =  \frac{the  \: cost \:  of  \: 12\: pens }{12}

The cost of 1 Pen  =  \frac{48}{12}

By dividing 48 by 12 we get

The cost of 1 pen = 4

The cost of 20 pens = The cost of 1 pen × 20

The cost of 20 pens = 4 \times 20

The cost of 20 pens = 80

Hence,

The cost of 20 pens is 80 .
