Answer:

21 chairs and 15 tables =53700

7 chairs and 5 tables = 17900

5 tables =x

7 chairs =x-3500

=  x+x-3500=17900

=  2x=17900-3500

=  2x=14400

=  x=14400/2

=  x=7200

5 tables =7200

7 chairs =7200-3500=3700

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the cost of one chair and y be the cost of one tables.

then,

21x+15y=53700/3

7x+5y=17900 ( in simple language we can write it) ....(i)

and 2nd situation,

7x+3500=5y

7x-5y=3500.....(.II)

on comparing equation (i) and (ii) we get

7x+5y=17900

7x-5y=3500

14x=14400

x=1028 (approx)

on putting the value of x on equ. (i)

7*1028+5y=17900

7196+5y=17900

5y=17900-7196

5y=10704

y=10704/5

y=2140(approx)
