Given :

Cost of 3kg apples and 6kg oranges = Rs 300

.°. 3x + 6y = 300..(1)

Given that, Cost of 1kg oranges is Rs. 30.

So, Cost of 6kg oranges = Rs.180 that is :

6y = 180

From (1),

3x + 180 = 300

3x = 120

x = 40

» Cost of 1kg apples is Rs.40

To find : cost of 8kg apples

= 8 × 40

= Rs.320

Thus, Cost of 8kg apples is Rs.320
