The cost of 1 chair is Rs. 150 and The cost of 1 table is Rs. 350

Step-by-step explanation:

let the cost of chair be x

and the cost of table be y

according to question

The total cost of 9 chairs and 9 tables is Rs.4500

i.e

9x+9y = 4500

9(x+y) = 4500

x+y = 500

x = 500-y ...(1)

now ,

The cost of 5 tables is Rs.100 more than the cost of 11 chairs.

i.e

5y = 100 +11x

putting the value of x fro m equation 1

5y = 100 + 11 (500-y)

5y = 100 + 5500 -11y

5y + 11y = 5600

16 y = 5600

y = 350

now put the value of y in equation 1

we get

x = 500 - y

x = 500 - 350

x = 150

hence , The cost of 1 chair is Rs. 150 and The cost of 1 table is Rs. 350
