the cost of a chocolate is rupee( x + 4 )and Rohit bath (x +4) for chocolates .find the total amount paid by him in terms of x = 10, find the amount paid by him

abhi6115: Given,
cost of a chocolate = Rs. (x+4)

Rohit bought (x+4) chocolates

The cost of (x+4) chocolates
= cost of one chocolate × number of chocolates

= (x+4)(x+4)

= (x+4)²

= x² + 8x + 16

Therefore,
the total amount paid by Rohit = Rs. (x²+8x+16)

Now,
if x = 10
then,
the amount paid by Rohit = (10)² + 8×10 + 16 = Rs. 196

Therefore,

\mathbb{ SOLUTION } :

Given,
cost of a chocolate = Rs. (x+4)

Rohit bought (x+4) chocolates

The cost of (x+4) chocolates
= cost of one chocolate × number of chocolates

= (x+4)(x+4)

= (x+4)²

= x² + 8x + 16

Therefore,
the total amount paid by Rohit = Rs. (x²+8x+16)

Now,
if x = 10
then,
the amount paid by Rohit = (10)² + 8×10 + 16 = Rs. 196

\underline{\bold{Given:-}}

Cost of one chocolate= x+4

Total number of chocolate brought by Rohit = x+4

\underline{\bold{Solution:-}}

Cost of chocolates brought by Rohit = cost of one chocolate × total number of chocolates

 = (x + 4)(x + 4) \\ \\ = {(x + 4)}^{2} \\ \\ = {x}^{2} + {4}^{2} + 2 \times x \times 4 \\ \\ = {x}^{2} + 16 + 8x \\ \\ = {x}^{2} + 8x + 16

So, total amount paid by Rohit = {x}^{2} + 8x + 16

When x = 10

Total amount paid

 = {10}^{2} + 8 \times 10 + 16 \\ \\ = 100 + 80 + 16 \\ \\ = 196
