Answer : Rs 2,21,184

Explanation :-

Given :

The cost of a machine is ₹ 2,50,000 . It depreciates at the rate of 4% per annum. Find the cost of the machine after three years.

For First year :-

2,50,000 x 4/100 = 10,000

2,50,000 - 10,000 = 2,40,000

First year, the machine price is Rs 2,40,000

For second year :-

2,40,000 x 4/100 = 9,600

2,40,000 - 9600 = 2,30,400

Second year, machine cost is Rs 2,30,400

For Third year :-

2,30,400 x 4/100 = 9216

2,30,400 - 9216 = 2,21,184

Third year, machine cost is Rs 2,21,184.

Hence, Machine cost after three years will be Rs 2,21,184
