the cost of an article A is 10% more then the cost B

the total cost is Rs.441

let cost of article B is 100x

since the cost of article A is 10% more than the cost of article B

so cost of article A is 110x

now by the given condition

100x+110x=441

=210x=441

=10x=21

hence

the cost of article A is 110x=₹231

the cost of article B is 100x=₹219

Given : the cost of an article A is 10% more then the cost of article B

their total cost is 441

To Find : cost of article A and B

Solution:

Assume that cost of Article B  = x

cost of article A is 10% more then the cost of article B

cost of Article  A  = x   + (10/100)x  = 1.1x

Total cost = 441

=> x + 1.1x = 441

=> 2.1x  = 441

=> x = 441/2.1

=> x  = 210

cost of Article B  = 210

cost of Article  A  = 1.1x = 1.1(210)  = 231

cost of article A and B are 231 and 210 respectively.
