the cost of an article was 15500. 450 were spent on it repairs .if it is sold for a profit of 15%. find the selling price of the article​

Answer:

Cost price of article=15500

Overheads =450

Total cost price=15500+450

=15950

Profit%=15%

Profit=15%of 15950

=15/100×15950

=2392.5

Selling price=Cp+Profit

=15950+2392.5

=18342.5

s.p. =  \binom{100  +  profit\%}{ 100}  \times cp

sp= (100+15/100) x 15950

=( 115/100) x 15950

= 23x 15950/ 20

= 23 x 3190/ 4

= 23x 1595 / 2

= 36685/2

= 18342.5
