why do potatoes need more time to be cooked when at high altitudes​

NOT ONLY POTATOES MOST OF THE FOODS COOKING TIME WILL BE MORE IN HIGHER ALTITUDES BECAUSE THE OXYGEN LEVEL IS LOW (IT IS NEED FOR COMBUSTION) IT IS A HEAVY GAS SO IT IS PRESENT IN LOWER ATMOSPHERE. AS WE GO HIGHER THE OXYGEN LEVEL DECREASES.
