The cost of enclosing a rectangular garden with a fence all round, at the rate of 75 paise per meter, is Rs. 300. If the length of the garden is 120 meters, find the area of the field in square meters.

We all know that if we divide : Total cost/ Cost per m² we will get the total perimeter...

Therefore, 30000/75 = 400m

So, the equation for getting breadth = 2(l+b) = 400

→ 120+b = 200 → breadth = 80m

Thus, area = l×b = 120×80 = 9600m²
