Solution :--

it is given that, cost of levelling flooring a room at ₹6.50 per square metre is₹585 .

or , we can say that,

→ Rs. 6.5 is for levelling = 1m²

→ Rs. 1 is for levelling = (1/6.5) m²

→ Rs. 585 is for levelling = (1/6.5) * 585 = 90m² .

So, we can say that, Area of floor is = 90m² .

Now,

we know that, A floor is in the shape of rectangle .

And, Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth .

Putting value now , we get,

→ 18 * Breadth = 90

Dividing both sides by 18 we get,

→ Breadth = 5 m .

Hence, Breadth of room is 5m.
