The cost of putting the outer c.s.a of a cylinder at rs 1.50 per cm sq is rs.660 if the height of the cylinder is 2m then find c.s.a of the Base of cylinder.

okay so, the total cost of it was 660 with the rate 1.5/sqcm. so to find the actual CSA of the cylinder, you gotta divide 660/1.5=660×2/3=440sqcm.
CSA of a cylinder=2piRH
440=2piR×200cm
110=piR×100
R=1.1/pi.
CSA of the base of the cylinder is basically the area of the base of the cylinder
=piR^2
=pi× (1.1/pi)^2
=1.21/pi
=1.21/3.14
should be approx 0.315
