Let the cost of horse= x

Cost of cow =x+40

Cost of 2 cows and 3 horses=₹705

Cost of 2 cows=2×x+40=2x+40

Cost of 3 horses= 3x

3x+(2x+40)=705

5x+40=705

5x=705-40

$\sf \: x = \frac{665}{5} = 133$

So cost ofone horse=₹133

So cost of a cow=133+40=₹173
