cost of 1 chair=rs y
ACC TO QUES,
3x+2y=745...(1)
x=40+y.......(2)
Put x form (2) in (1) to get,
2(40+y)+2y=745
2y+2y=745-80
4y=665
y=166.25 rupees
x=40+166.25=206.25 rupees
cost of 1 chair=rs y
