Answer:

Let cost of one chair be a

Cost of one table be b

2a + 3b = 1300               ------ 1

3a + 2b = 1200               ------ 2

Multiplying equation 1    x 3, we get

6a + 9b = 3900                  ---- 3

Multiplying equation 2   x 2, we get

6a + 4b = 2400                  -----4

Subtracting Equation 4 from equation 3

      6a + 9b = 3900

(--)   6a + 4b = 2400

    =       5b  =  1500

therefore we get

b = 1500/5  =   300

2a + 3b = 1300

2a = 1300 - (3 x 300)

2a = 1300 - 900 =  400

a = 400/2  = 200

Cost of one table = RS 300

cost of one chair =  RS 200
