Answer:

The selling price of the mixed apples should be option C) Rs 49.2

Step-by-step explanation:

since three varieties of apples are mixed in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 5

=> In one kg of the mixed apple, weight of A, B and C are 200 gms, 300 gms and 500 gms

cost of apple A = 20/kg

=> cost of 200 gms of apple A = 20 x 200/1000 = 4

cost of apple B = 40/kg

=> cost of 300 gms of apple B = 40 x 300/1000 = 12

cost of apple C = 50/kg

=> cost of 500 gms of apple C = 50 x 500/1000 = 25

hence cost of 1 kg of mixed apple = 4 + 12 + 25 = Rs 41

20% profit of 41 = 20 x 41/100 = 8.2

hence selling price = cost price + profit

= 41 + 8.2

= 49.2

Hence the selling price of the mixed apples should be option C) Rs 49.2
