x^3/y^3=3^3

x/y=3

x=3y-------eqn 1

According to the question sum of 2 numbers is 16

x+y=16

3y+y=16. (From eqn 1)

4y=16

y=4

2 nos are 4 ,12

Difference between 2nos =8
