where, a= 5cm.

s.a. of cube=6× 5×5

=150 cm^2

when 2 cubes are joined to the end

then resultant surface area= 2(6a^2) - 2a^2

= 2×150 - 2×5×5

= 300- 50

S.A. OF CUBOID = 250 cm ^2
