Charge = 40C

Time taken = 2min = 120s

Electric current = charge /time

= 40/120

= 1/3

= 0.33 ampere

Given :

Charge (Q) = 40 C

Time (T) = 2 min

To Find :

The current flowing through the conductor

Solution :

Current is the rate of flow of charge.

Current (I) = \frac{Charge (Q) }{Time (T)}

As time is given in minutes, we need to convert it into seconds.

Time = 2 × 60 = 120 sec

∴ Current flowing through the conductor = \frac{40}{120}

                                                                    = 0.33 A

Hence, the Current flowing through the conductor is found to be 0.33 A.
