The curved surface area of a right circular cine of slant height 14 cm is 88cm.find the diameter of the base of cone

Given,
Curved Surface area = 88cm.

Slant height = 14cm.

Curved Surface area of a cone = πrl

88 = 22/7 × r × 14

88 × 7/ 22 = r × 14

28 / 14 = r

2 = r

Radius is 2cm.

Therefore, Diameter = 2r = 2 × 2 = 4cm

Given,

Height circular cine (h) = 14 cm

Radius of circular cine be = r  

curved surface area of circular cine = 88 cm^{2}

=> 2\pi rh =88cm^{2}

=> 2× \frac{22}{7}×14 cm =88

=> r = 88×7 /2×22×14

=> r= 616/616

=> r=1 cm

=> Diameter =2×r

=> Diameter =2×1=2cm

diameter of the base of cone = 2cm
