The day I lost my calculation skills

One day I woke up in the morning, and went for maths tution. When I started to solve mathematical problems, I had realised that I forgot to take my calculator with me. At home, I do most of my calculations with the help of the calculator and my raw skills of calculation was mostly lost due to this habit. In that tution class, I was totally embarrassed in front of my friends. Teacher scolded me a lot and instructed me to not use calculator in future. I was hardly able to solve one single mathematical problem, that day. But, after that day I completely stopped my habit of using calculator. And, that specific day of realisation that dependence on technology by ignoring own skills is not good at all, can be considered as the "day I lost my calculation skills."
