The poem “The day Telly broke down” by ‘Linday McCrae’ is poem about television that broke. The poet is describing his feelings when the television in his house broke. He describes the good things that happened and the also describes how sad he and family felt after their TV broke. He said that though her brother tried to repair, but TV couldn’t get repaired.  

He then mentioned the activities his family could do as no one could watch television. Even when they decided to rent the TV from their aunt, they couldn’t. The poem thus describes that television is a blessing in our life in form of entertainment and recreation, but it also leads to wastage of time.
